This training is designed for prospective ALF administrators and / or owners in preparation to operate or work in an ALF
The course is given in compliance with the Department of Elder Affairs rules and regulations.Learners will be given course material(s) set forth by Florida Statute 429, Part I and Florida Administrative Code 58A-5.
This course will prepare learners for the ALF CORE exam and operational features of an ALF
Prerequisite: Able to comprehend and speak English (Spanish Courses Available)
Expiration: None, however learner must maintain 12 hours in-services bi-ennially to maintain compliance with the rules and laws if he or she is an active administrator.
Certification(s): Upon successful completion. Also three complimentary certifications required for operation will be given.
ALF Manual, Handouts, Lunch on last day, Review day before exam and three certificates: ALF CORE Certificate, Safe Food Handling, Adverse Incident &Elopement
